Does anyone own this PC? It says it has one PCI slot, but that it is used. What is it used for? I saw one post where someone said they added a TV tuner card. This small computer has no fan, so if it is powerful enough and can accept a tuner card, it might make a good PVR.

Does anyone know if it is possible to add a capture card, or video card with capture and S-video out for connecting to a TV?

If you do not need the modem then remove it and install your video/capture card there.

Can the on-board video be disabled in favor of a video card with capture/S-video out?

yes it can be but you may not necessarily need or want to. It just depends on what you want to do.

Ask HP. I was looking into this model before, and found out that there was no possible way to add a 2nd hard drive. I know that's not what you were asking so that's why I've add the Contact HP link.

I'm assuming that's a SPDIF in or out.

Does anyone know how much power can be delivered to the PCI slot? Can a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-350 or an ATI 7500 AIW VE work with this computer?

Some of these machines ship with TV tuner cards from the factory. If you haven't bought the machine yet just got to
    http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/computer_can_series.do?storeName=computer_s...=s7600y_series
and configure your machine with a TV tuner.

If you already have the machine you can go to
    http://h20141.www2.hp.com/hpparts/Search_Results.asp?mscssid=XH0U5LLA4RXT9HH14AK17PD81FCT4L34
and buy the same tuner that HP uses in the production machines as a "spare part"
the part number is EX437-69001 and it only costs $78

Hey, are you Ken Bosley of HP Marketing? If you are, I posted a message for you on the Pavilion Support forum. I really want to get an s7700y customized Slimline, but it's not available, at least through regular resellers, here in Canada.

Does anyone know how I might get an s7700y to a Canadian address?
