I've searched the archive, but found no discussion about replacing the DVD drive in a Liteon machine.
The HDD recording/playback/editing functions are fine, just the disc burner is producing discs that hang in some players (including self play in the 5045).
So I was wondering if I could pick up a replacement DVD+/-RW drive and just drop it in. Maybe even go for a DL drive?
Anyone done this? Will the machine's OS recognize it? Particularly if it's a Liteon drive like this one from CompUsless (http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=320106&pfp=BROWSE)?
