Request asstiance concerning subtitles

Hell I am trying to convert some japanese animation with subtitles from avi format to dvd format so that they will play on any dvd player the problem I am having is that after I burn the the disk it plays beautifuly but the subtitles are always below the screen where you cant see them Ive tryed changing the aspec ratio and custom resizeing but the results is always the same how ever if played on the computer eveything works fine

There's a new tool called DVDSubEdit that allows you to reposition the subs without even demuxing:

In addition to posting back here with your results, you might post in that thread if it helped you, or if you ran into any problems. This assumes the subs are selectable, and that you didn't encode them into the video.
