  1. I visited Philips' website:
    http://www.consumer.philips.com/global/b2c/common/downloads/downloads_results.jhtml?di...requestid=5403

and saw several versions of firmware for my DVDR75. Is the version "DVDR_17" the latest and greatest?

    Thank you.

  3. I have upgraded my DVDR75/17 several times, the most current version for my machine is commonly known as FF16k.

Do you know how to tell what version is on your machine?

It is available as dvdr75_17_fus_eng.zip 48Mb on the Philips website under the DVDR75/17 folder. http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/d/dvdr75_17/

The instruction are aloso available at this site.

Note that the CD burned with the new firmware must be ISO mode 2 XA in order to work correctly. This IS NOT the default for most CD burning software.

  4. Hi OldeMan,

How do you know your dvdr is a DVDR75/17? The label on my dvdr state the model as DVDR75/691 but I can't find this particular version on Philip's website. Can I install firmware version DVDR_17 for my dvdr or am I missing something?

  6. Thank you Sam, that helped. BTW earlier I did a search on Philips' website for it but their search function didn't turn up anything.
