    Never under-estimate the powers of the average party goer when fueled with alcohol!

    I had a client about a year ago bring me her daughter's wedding video where someone shot 7 or 8 section verticaly to include the lovely staircases and fountains in shots.
    I used Vegas Video to straighten out those segments. came out well. Charged for the time involved to get it done from start to finish. Wasn't cheap, but I guess it wasn't terrible because they paid for it without question.

    In Virtualdub (use virtualdub-mpeg2 if mpeg2 video):
    File->Open
    Select Video->Filters and Add the flip vertically filter.
    Select Audio->Direct Stream Copy
    File->Save as avi (It will be a huge file, use a compression if you want smaller file size under Video->Compression)

    Open the avi in ulead dvd moviefactory and convert and author a new DVD.

  9. You do not want to flip vertically. You want to rotate 180 degrees (or flip vertically and flip horizontally).

    WinAVI allows you to re-encode video 180 degrees.
