    When converting an avi to DVD which should I use? mpeg2enc or ffmpeg and if anyone knows, whats the difference bewtween them?

    - I have tried both, and mpeg2enc to a long time(like 10 hours). ffmpeg was a lot quicker. but i think the quality was better w/ mpeg2enc.

    ffmpeg is faster, and probably better quality too. However, mpeg2enc is more compliant to standards and picky players.
