Can't start RC8

I have been using RC5 for a while. From time to time, I would get error messages upon starting. I usually had to start it several times before the message went away. However, I just couldn't get it started recently no matter what I tried. So I upgraded to RC8, and I got the same error message:

BTW, I could start v.152, but I really didn't like its GUI and functions. What's wrong with RC8?

This same problem went away for me after I installed the Windows update to the .net framework. I suggest you install the service pack1 update, although Crissyboy says its not needed.
