  1. When I cut a part of mpeg2 video there is a little pause in the beginning (<1 sec). Please help me to avoid this.
    I want to cut a part of mpeg2 (from MMC of camera) file.

    Iam using -ss and -t parameters. I need the quality same as the input. Iam getting good result expect this pause in the beginning. Any help is appreciated.

    FFmpeg will make you cut on an i frame, which can end up being up to 1/2 second inaccurate

  3. Thank you for this. Also I want to ask one thing.
    When I cut/convert to mpeg using mpeg2video i was getting mpeg1 stream in the outputfile
    but the output file's extension was given vob i was getting right output. So what parameters I have to use keeping the same quality and keep in mpeg2 with out the vob container, which Iam doing now.
