Music Video Dvd's + Play All Button

In my previous guide

https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1311113

This discused the usage of dvdauthorgui for creating the menu , and adding titles

For this updated guide I will say this once only

Import all titles into dvdauthorgui

As you can see , I have used dvdauthorgui to create the dvd with all titles , much cleaner looking , and yes , titles may have the same times , as this was a test for correctness

The last title is the "All Play" title already discused previously in this guide , and kept seperate towards the end of this guide so it can be assimulated into any project you have

Now instead of telling you what you need to do , I will simply show the commands for each item in the above picture , and then those used in each of the menus afterwards

You can experiment all you like afterwards , as these are the correct one's I use in music video dvd's , but first the menu used

In the above picture all RED numbers refer to menu 1 only having 7 buttons

All other menus used have 8 buttons , so the blue numbers come into effect for menu's 2 to 5

All commands used refer to the buttons in this layout

-------------------------------------

Menu's

This is designed to have a play all title button on each menu

If you sellect a title to play , when it ends , it returns to the button that had been previously sellected

If no title is sellected , each menu plays a sound track , then jumps to the next menu and plays the track linked to it , and around and around .... a loop

If all play title button is sellected , it will return to menu 1 and highlights play all button

---------------------------------------------

[ NOTE ]

There are sections below here refereing to "The relative position to each other in the menu"

This is to control the behavior of button navigation , so the player nows when you press up or down on your remote , it knows the next button to go to

As dvdauthorgui has produced the menu layouts , these are the only things I dont change

What I do is change the pre and post commands more to my liking or required needs for any project I am creating at anytime

Anyway , below is the exact commands as used by my menu and 25 titles , plus title 26 "all play"

You will find all menu button commands in each of the menu's sections , so if you want to create a music video dvd now with 25 tracks , you have all you need in this guide to create it right now

Tools you should have for complete authoring of dvds are dvdauthorgui , besweet , vitualdub , vobedit , batchdemux , the gimp , pixel ruler , pgcedit , ifoedit , vidchanger , addchapter , muxman , jump2pgc , pgcdemux , imagetools , dvdshrink , srt2sup , avisynth + dll addons , mwsnap , smartripper , dvddecryter , audiocity , wink , blender , codecs and aspi installed that supports dvd burning

You can do alot with the above tools to spice up your authored dvds

So , here are all the commands and general information as used by myself to create the music video dvd

--------------------------------------

--------------------------------------

Menu 1 :

This is the so called engine to this project

Now the buttons for menu (1)

Menu 2 :

Menu 4 :

-------------------------------------

All titles from this point on use the same commands

Command one "set gprm(1) =(mov) 1

That last number gose up by 1 from here on

This is title 26 commands in the picture below , so you know what I am talking about

-----------------------------------

Thats all of them , for 25 titles , plus that 26th "all play" title

Some notes

To edit pre and post commands

Left click to select any item in the right window , then right click for options

Double click to edit

This edit window appears

Choose from drop down lists commands required

------------------------

CREATING "ALL TITLE PLAY"

Click on last VTST title , the right click on it , and

What you end up with is a new title that has the full play time of all the titles added together , and this is part of my 25 titles list within vtst title 26

Now before going anywhere else , click to open your menu's and notice

These are the colours I have chosen for button highlights , ect

But notice "PGC Still Time" box is set to "0"

As well as that input box under "Still Time"

Because my menu is able to play the music from menu 1 , rather than just sit there till I hit a button , it can now because of certain commands , jump to the next menu and play the track from it , when that one stops , it plays the audio from the next menu , and around and around

Handy for those particular situations

---------------------------------------------

If you wish for the menu's to stop and not jump to the next one , just simply return 255 to the input box "still time" and edit the post commands for each menu to LinkPGCN PGC ? (? is that menu's number) .

By following this guide you will produce a music video dvd that works fine .
