The PERFECT tool for DVD editing has just been released:
Some of the things you can do with this tool are:
Strip titlesets, titles, chapters, announcements, logo's, trailers, extras etc
Menu's with Movie Only or also keep a few selective extras too
Split DVD keeping original quality but also deciding what you want on each DVD (e.g. Episodic DVD's)
Remove one of the two movies on the DVD (e.g. Widescreen & Fullscreen DVD's)
IMHO, this is the only tool I know that has created working DVD's where others have failed!!!!!!

No demo. You have to buy. But it works as advertised. I know firsthand.

Well, call me stupid, but I am a Ifoedit idiot.
DVDStripper does the 'stripping', then uses Ifoedit to put things back together AUTOMATICALLY. No user intervention. That's it's magic.
If you are not a master of DVD structure and have used Ifoedit even once, you know what I'm (not) talking about.
Basically, what you do is:
Rip the DVD
Select things you want removed
Click a button, and 15-20 minutes later, you have a VIDEO_TS folder ready to either burn, or transcode depending on the size.
The 'bliss' thing for me is that I have yet to make a DVD that does not work on my super fussy Philips 743 (Philips owner know what I'm talking about). And so far, I have made about 20 of'em.
Sorry folks to sound so enthusiastic, but this is my dream software. So far, using guides 'in the blind' due to ignorance or programs advertising to 'edit out' certain parts was a hit and miss (mostly miss) procedure.
Numerous DVD-Rs have bitten the dust. But of 20 'DVDstripped', all work.
The bad part is that one has to plonk 20Euros out to get it, but for me, it certainly cover the price of coasters using the 'traditional' methods. -

Anyway - Back to the software which is what this forum is about.
As Arianos said it really is excellent stuff, I had many doubts about whether it would really do the job properly but after many discs processed with this I am one happy bunny and everything plays back fine on both my standalone players too.
Just what the doctor ordered for DVD editing! -
So Laz,
When did Arianos e-mail you with the link to this thread to tell you to post(and what to post) your message? -

My comment still stands. It is a front-end, like DVD2SVCD (except the latter is free and, IMO, better). -
I'm so glad that rocket scientists gather in this forum! I feel so priviliged
-
Yawn. I don't see this software setting the world on fire.

I do not even know Arianos for your information(Which I am sure he will confirm when he reads this). Everyone keeps telling me that certain members here are merchant bankers now I am inclined sadly to see their viewpoint. I have nothing to do with the software and even if I did so what? What's it got to do with you?
I am a member of many online forums and I see the exhibition of infantile behaviour on many of these... but comments made here are nothing more than vile personal attacks and have nothing to do with opinions whatsoever. If you like the sound of it then buy it if you don't then leave it. Is that simple enough for you?
Try asking Bill Gates for a free copy of windows and see how far that gets you. Too many pathetic egos and not enough room.
This guy has done something for the DVD community and he gets slated by people??? People who have never ever made their products available for us to see, why I've never even heard of 80% of the whingers until the last few days that's how much they contribute to the DVD community! Zilch -Squat - Zero Only negative & retarded attacks. Where are your tutorials & guides made freely available? Where is your software that makes DVD editing easier for us?
I await your personal projects with baited breath - I'm sure I will never see them!
Anyways read the FACTS:- https://www.videohelp.com/tools Posted for 8 hours and has already had 856 views and this thread alone 737 views too - Most software that has been on here for months has not had that interest. I'd say it's on fire right now and burning white hot and people are ignoring the ignorant, jealous and uninformed comments around this place wouldn't you? -
Call me stupid but what does DVDStripper do that DVDShrink cannot?
"No demo. You have to buy. But it works as advertised. I know firsthand."
Why isn't there a demo? -
Well while all this is fun, if it's payware only and no demo very people are going to choose to try it out. Doesn't matter if it costs $3 (which is doesn't). Prehaps someone should mention this to the author.
As for IFOEdit being hard to use, or the (strange/odd) attacks against people that 'got that there book learning', it's the internet. Everyone is entitled to an opinion.
The general feeling amoung many people that visit this site is that one click programs are not as nice as doing it manually. That's because a lot of people see this as a hobby and want to know everything possible about how digital video works. A better GUI for IFOEdit might be useful to some people, but given IFOEdit is free and payware software is not... well it's not likely to take offIMHO

Question though, does this program shrink DVDs? -
I like IfoEdit and I know really well how to use it so I don't need this tool 8) This DVDstripper is newbie tool. And it's good that people are doing these tools. It's nice that there is simple tools for DVD backup. Only drawback is that in the future there will be less pro users and more newbies in these forums.
One thing I dont understand is why people are so mad to each others comments? Just cool down and relax... :P -

I see a good tool IFOEdit, then this guy that makes DVDstripper as a front-end says "look at my new tool" and accidentally forgets to mention nothing is new, just that he made a front end.
The honest thing would be to only sell the front end. Or at least market is as a front-end. Not as some new product.
This kind of sleazy activity puts off future programmers from making free tools. Why make something for free just to pad some other a-hole's pocketbook?Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Hi guys
ok, let's clear a few things up
if you missed the huge thread at Doom9 then I guess you are in the dark, but I urge people to take a look before making assumptions regarding programs used. how they are used, donations, demos or any other issues as some comments here are very far from the truth and I don't want to people to look stupid by making these assumptions
read this to give a better picture of exactly how DVDStripper works HERE
this tool does stuff even the Ifoedit God's would find difficulty in doing and especially in the space of 5-10 mins usertime and 10-20 mins processing but this is a tool for anyone regardless of DVD structure knowledge as it is not needed at all
it make the process as simple as can be by offering a choice of removing any content from the DVD right down to Cell ID level, so that means you can cut specific parts of the DVD such as end credits out with the simplest of ease and still maintain the all important DVD structure
I hope some people will appreciate the tool and the uses it has and judging by the feedback from people, they seem to be more than happy with it at the minute
I have stated that if people buy the tool and are not satisfied then I have no issues reagrading refunding the money they paid but at first I will offer advice to help them overcome the difficulties as it has it's own forum HERE
it ain't a shrinker either as I feel that people should have there own choice of shrinking after you strip the crap out
peace -
I forgot to mention both Derrow & LIGHTNING UK know about this inbetween tool as I have asked them both personally for their opinions regarding this matter just for this exact reason and both are quite happy with it
I really cannot understand how people can basically say it's leeching as like I showed in the link to Doom9, this tool works in a very similar fashion to Menuedit yet I do not see people raising this leeching issue with Menuedit
so I hope this info I have posted will put the record straight and stop people from looking stupid by posting on their assumptions
cheers

I particularly like the Brilliant , Intuitive
use of:
Item 1
Item 2
Item 3
in the user interface.
Now what the hell is an Item ? I don't have Items on my DVDs
No way in hell I'll pay for what I've seen of that lameware,
and the flaky marketing methods for payware on a free forum based on
the excelent Ifoedit really sucks.
This was "designed" by a person that can't even write programs
by his own admission. Kind of reminds me of Bill Gates. -
Originally Posted by FOO

anyway I'm outta here, I just came to help put the record straight as I cannot stand some of the attitudes of people in this forum sometimes -
Tempers, tempers! If the writer of this "software" really had the feedback of Derrow, then fine. More experienced users on this forum will find strip useless. Newbies might find it useful, but I kind of doubt it. Is Derrow still with DVDxCopy? He was the pioneer, and an innovator. Yes, there were others, but give credit where it is due. The writer of this front-end-ware should acknowledge this. That is only fair. But really, do some of us really need to take ourselves this seriously? We are, after all, just a bunch of vid heads! LOL Peace to all.
You create your own reality. Interested in media servers and HTPC? Can we talk? -
I do not have any evidence this is worth any money at all, and
I have a strong suspicion that it's not.
No way to find out without being a fool is there.
I wonder how many of the syncophants on Doom9
that haven't got their key yet are happy. -
Hi guys
the simple answer to all this bickering is let's just wait and see what happens shall we?
don't you agree this is the simplest solution instead of all this immature behaviour?
cheers

Could it be because Menuedit is *gasp* FREE?
When I read that post, I said these words "BULLSHIT, this guy couldn't write a sentence in WORD and save it, let alone a proggy such as that." I knew there was no way in hell this character wrote any proggy. Of course with my brief encounters with this guy..he has told me that he is extremely well respected at doom9 as well as the most popular poster on this forum. He felt the need to mention via PM and through posts that his wonderful site has so many hits which makes him proven to be so popular. He felt the need to PM that to me on at least 3 occasions. Again, I just laughed. But now that i've read all of this both here and at Doom9, it's very clear as to what transpired. MackemX obviously convinced this Arianos...(who by the way was allowing MackemX to use webspace for quite some time, and who is ultimately good “buddy/buddy” with good ole’ Mackem)....to ultimately write this proggy because with MackemX's "STARDOM" and "IMMENSE POPULARITY" on these forums...he could sucker enough people into purchasing the proggy to make it worth while.
Can ANYBODY say "SAD."Any other projects you're currently co-developing Mr. Popularity?
