Trying to download RTL Plus video

Hi there.

I am digging in several threads and I tried to download a video from RTL Plus.

I downloaded the video with yt-dlp, but when I tried to decrypt the video with mp4decryptor, I always getting a video without image and sound.

If anyone can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong, I'd appreciate it!

The license url is :

https://widevine.tvnow.de/index/rtlplus

and you also need to add to the header 'x-auth-token'. The keys you got are probably from cache.

In your browsers developer console open the "Network" tab and filter for commonly used names in the license url: lic, drm, widevine, ...

If you still aren't able to locate the license url, look for binary data in the preview or response of every single request made. If you've seen it once, you know exactly what it looks like.

Copy that request as "Copy as cURL" and look for potentially important headers - token, unusual header names ... You'll probably not need every single header field for the license request, but it doesn't hurt to use them all.

To add to this:

A license url request will always be a POST request, which narrows it down a lot already.
Often there is an initial OPTIONS request, immediately (or shortly) followed by a POST to that same url.
If there is two POST requests, the payload of the first one is 8,4 a lot of the time

I was able to find the correct license URL, but unfortunately I was not able to get the key using http://108.181.133.95:8080/ for example.
I always get an error.

And yes, I set the HEADER X-Auth-Token with the value from my browser in the Dev Tools, but no success.

Probably because of geo restriction. Use this header :
