need help decrypting+downloading videos from sokmil as beginner

hi all,

I want to preface by saying I am an absolute beginner when it comes to DRM decryption and will definitely ask plenty of stupid questions, so I apologise if anything I say is frustrating to read. I've been reading existing threads here on how to get the decryption key from sokmil, but as you can imagine someone with zero understanding, everything is a bit alien to me.

my understanding is that I need:
short PSSH key
auth cookie
key id

with help from a user on here I am able to retrieve all three values, but I'm struggling to understand how to put it all together. I know pywidevine repo is used, and I've installed that onto my Mac with pip, and I'm also aware of existing code solutions provided here: https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/408318-Sokmil-Video-Downloader

but it means absolutely nothing to me due to my lack of experience. if I have those three values above, what would I need to do, start to finish, to get the decryption key? I am guessing I use the decryption key with ffmpeg on the .vismv file you download from sokmil, and output it as an .mp4

any help is much appreciated and I am fully expecting to get flamed since I can imagine everyone here deals with stupid questions/threads on a daily basis. unfortunately, I am likely going to add onto that -- not intentionally however!

lomero, thank you again for giving me a decryption key after i asked. i am not entitled to your help and if you refused to help, OK, all fine with me

but you also did not teach me the method, nor were you willing to. this is also OK, i completely understand, so i create a thread here to see if anyone else is able to teach me the method. if no-one wants to teach me, also OK, this is life

similar to how understandably many people may not have time to help others, i also do not have time to argue and bicker over trivial things on an internet forum. there are way more important things going on in both of our lives, and also in the world. you are free to agree or disagree, but that is my stance on it

with regards to opinions on JAV, i'm not going to defend it -- everybody has their vices in life. if there were not already many pre-existing posts on here regarding the same site (of which there were no negative responses, but maybe something has changed since then), i would not have found this forum in the first place. if this is completely against the rules and i am banned permanently because of it, also OK, because that was a responsibility i failed to do

When you have those info you should run python scripts like those posted here to get the keys. Knowing how to use a command line and/or python is entirely up to you of course. If you don't know or aren't willing to learn it, you should give up getting keys entirely (at least for this site).

Also if you posted an url to a video you're trying to grab, it could help us help you.

The only thing I’m missing is CDM; I am not familiar as to which level CDM is required for the site, and also if it’s even possible to dump it via Android emulator. I have an Android device, but I’m not willing to root it.

those last two links are an absolute game changer, thanks a bunch!! i found some how-to guides on cdm-project which should fill in the gaps in my knowledge. thanks again
