  3. Open a text editor, create a file named misc.init with the following content:
    Code:
    [General]
    runAsAdmin=true
move file to your Hybrid folder.

About errors: No clue, read https://www.selur.de/support and share proper details.
Don't post content from a log file starting with:

  6. It's working very fine , i need some advise for temporal degrain settings , i want to make a week preset because it's too much blur .
    I have this :
    - degrain=2
    - accuracy=2
    - limit=255
    - sad treshold 200/150
    - block size/overlap 8/2
    - sigma/width/height 8/16/16
    Quote Quote
  7. Without any knowledge of the source 'sigma' sets the FFT3D filtering strength, so a lower value will do less filtering.
But may be Temporal Degrain simply isn't the filter for the goal you want to archive,...

  8. Thank you again Selur , i set sigma to 4 and it's better , i know i have a lot to learn . I tried with vidcoder and the result are not so great ( thanks for help to Jagabo ) but hybrid do a great job. The video is Stargate sg-1 ntsc , mpeg 2 , 29.97 vfr frame rate and give me problems specially the deinterlace and frame rate.
I run a test with a sample of 31s with qtgmc deinterlace with default fast preset and seems to be ok but the clip have now 25s ... i guess it's about frame rate settings.
Hybrid show that the video is progressive , i tried custom settings for qtcgmc with input=1 but have artefacts , maybe i have to try another deinterlacer or detelecine...
So i need help with deinterlace and frame rate for qtgmc ...

  9. Hybrid show that the video is progressiv
Hybrid reads the headers with mediainfo,..

    Stargate sg-1 ntsc , mpeg 2 , 29.97 vfr frame rate
Overwrite scantype to telecine, Stargate isn't vfr and the NTSC version isn't interlaced.
-> QTGMC is the wrong tool unless it's used as deinterlacer in a IVTC method.

  11. Strange assuming the source is a DVD.
You could bob it for example with QTGMC and look at the bobbed content and decide whether it's telecined or may be some mixed content,...

I tried with qtgmc and overwrite scantype mixed and it is better , give me 29.97 but sample time is 25s , original is 31s.

Looks like regular NTSC film rate, decimate to 23.976. Runtime is the same

  16. This is with qtgmc fast preset , overwrite mixed , scale output frame rate 23.976. I know it can be better but it's ok so far ?

  17. (IVTC is usually done by using VIVTC or TIVTC, overwriting scanorder to 'telecine'should then be used; but deinterlacing and decimating does sometimes work better)
"scale output frame rate" argh,... -> use sRestore
QTGMC (to 29.97) and then sRestore to 23,976 does not have the chroma ghosting on scene changes you clip has.

  19. Stargate are a mess and a lot of other scifi productions need different settings at least per season.

i have to do another settings because it seems not ok ?

  20. This is with qtgmc fast preset , overwrite mixed , temporal degrain . Result 29.97 and 25s , original has 31s and now i have to change frame to 23.976 and give me 31s. So far it's ok ?
What do you mean qtgmc to 29.97 ''and then Srestore to 23.976''. After qtgmc ?

  23. Since seem to have no personal opinion that you want to tell here it's simple: If you like it keep it if you don't then don't.

  24. I don't want to upset anybody , my english are not very good and sometimes i don't understand all ... anyway in seconds 6-8 it's like noise is on and off , in 29.97 version not apear.
    Quote Quote
  25. If you got a problem with noise, you might want to:
    a. use another denoiser (or a degainer; personally I would probably use SMDegrain since for me the denoising you apply atm. is way to strong.)
    b. change the position of the denoiser in the script to see if the helps to denoise before or after the frame rate reduction

  26. I think i know what i missing , you said to change the position of denoiser and before you said do first qtgmc and then srestore , i do them together ... i need to learn how change position ... thank you again Selur.

  27. Assuming you use Vapoursynth, look at:
    • "Filtering->Vapoursynth->Show Vapoursynth Script" to see the used script (in the lower right corner)
    • "Filtering->Vapoursynth->Misc->Filter Order" to see and change the filter order.
and use the "Vapoursynth Preview" to see the effect of the filtering.

  28. Finally the srestore work ok , i activated bob in qtgmc and give me 59.94 and then srestore to 23.976. I use SMdegrain and hybrid give the best result so far , some minor settings and i think it's best can i do with this show.

  29. side note: I wouldn't bob with qtgmc for this source.
