I finally found a version of X265 that I could use, so I'm very new to it. I can't understand why I'm getting the message that it encodes 0 number of frames:
--input "SO.avs" --input-res 640x480 --fps 29.97 --profile main --pools 1 -o "SO.mp4"
What other command am I missing here?

	Oh okay. I did it with the actual video file this time, an MKV: 
 
 
 The encode just comes out looking like complete television static.
