I downloaded portable 2.6.18 64 bit win and my av went mad removing the exe and all dlls etc. Is this safe to white list? That download is from this site is it?

Stop downloading p**n and just ditch AV. It's like having a governor on your PC. The last time I got a virus was while running Norton. Uninstalled it and never had a virus since. Plus my 'puter runs like it should. That was more than a decade ago.

No it has never had any virus.
Test your downloads www.virustotal.com . If it gets more than 5 warnings it might be dangerous.
