  1. I have installed Indeo Codec ( ir50_32.dll )
But when I Export a project ( Corel VS X9 ) with custom setting, I can't find Indeo in list of Compressor. Any ideas about it?
If I use This Compressor it will take more time and the file output is very large, more than 100 MB.

If you're running 64 bit Windows: 32 bit programs require 32 bit codecs. 64 bit programs require 64 bit codecs.

Some programs use VFW, others use DirectShow. VFW codecs don't show up in DirectShow programs. DirectShow codecs don't show up in VFW programs. And some programs use only built in codecs, not VFW or DirectShow codecs.

"Almost as old"? Indeo is the 2nd oldest common commercial codec (after Cinepak). Both of them date from the late 80s - way older than this site. Older even than the web itself.

There is no decent reason to use indeo as anything other than a decoder, except as some scientific curiosity in a round of benchmark tests. Even as a decoder, it's about time to migrate the titles to a newer, more popular codec if you still value the material.

  6. Oh, and often old 32 bit codecs doen't install properly under 64 bit Windows. You have to perform some manual steps.

As other have mentioned, Indeo is outdated and shouldn't be used unless you have some specific requirement.

Well, v4 and v5 are somehow close to MPEG-1/2 video, it was not the worst product ever. But yes, this is the era of MPEG-4 at least. And the AVI container is no longer able to contain current video formats.
