    Hi everyone,
I'm slowly picking up gear to start a home base transfer busines. I have my mind set on a Canopus ADVC-300 but they are discontinued and hard to come by on ebay. There must be something else I can get, something new? Kinda in the dark on what my options are since the advc300 is hard to find. Thanks guys.

Looking at your post history, you've essentially asked this question over the course of several threads already since last year. Pick one and try it.

Yes I did post that, some of these treads are old, I never realized the advc 300 was discontinued and hard to find, what are people using these days? What's the the 'in' thing to buy. Thanks again.

What? You literally started two different threads on that topic alone, a month apart.

    https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/371311-Canopus-products-discontinued
    https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/371960-Canopus-discontinued-or-no-longer-available

People aren't likely to have any different suggestions for you than they did last year.

The thing is nothing else was suggested other than the advc 110, I saw a 110 compare to a 300 and the 300 was way better. I hate to pay an arm and a leg for a used one when there could be something new out there that I don't know about. I guess the advice here is to get a 110.

  6. As an ADVC-300 owner, here is what I can say. The difference between the 300 model versus the 110 or 55 is the LTBC on the 300 which can't be disabled and various filters that can be tweaked. Otherwise, they all share the same chip. So ultimately unless you are tweaking things on the 300, the output from these three devices is identical.

Others on this forum will recommend just getting a DV/Digital8 camcorder and use that for all your captures.

Why the fixation on the ADVC-300? Plenty of other equally good options.
