    Hi... I'm using Virtualdub to do a compression but the file is too big, I read in a topic of this site that I need change the bitrate but how I can do that? I can't understand... I'm new with all of this.

    My file is (1,98 GB) avi
    1280 x 720
    Dates: 3174kbps
    3366kbps
    29 frames per second

    Even a file of 9 minutes is 500 mb

    Thank you

    Video->compression->xvid codec and click configure.
    Change to one pass encoding and lower the bitrate.
    Or change to quality based encoding and change the quantizer setting.

    Doesn't that work?

    But I'm pretty sure you are same user....
