Good day to all, this is my first post i investigated a lot and couldn't find an answer so i come asking for your help.

I have just updated XMedia Recode to 1.3.7.3 and now i cannot convert videos using 2-pass average bitrate...before the update i could, i tried returning to my previous version and still cannot convert using 2-pass.

The problem i'm getting is that once i go ahead and start the encoding, i pops up the converting status window and immediatly pops up the conversion succesfull window, i press ok and when i go to the folder a 0Kb file with the converted name appears... in short it doesn't even start the conversion.

Hope someone can help me... and thanks

Already did that that's why i came to your comunity in the firs place.. tried with 4 different videos that i already converted before

And i really wouldn't want to change encoder because it takes about 6 hours to convert a MKV file.....

I hope Xmedia Recode has proper read & write permissions to particular output folder.
Many softwares do not throw an exceptions or pops-up pin-pointed error message but quits with 0kb (empty) file. You can try your luck by emailing to author or post your feedback in VH tool section here for XMedia Recode. May be fixed in next release. Or use something else as suggested in previous reply.

By the way, videoHelp self hosts thousands of goodies that you can try. Just read users feedback before you try. In some case you are enough lucky to get hold of authors of particular tools right here on videoHelp like live help and support.

  6. I just mentioned about permission stuff, coz I faced similar problem on Tux and OSX. Plus, you did not mention about your OS. On Windows you have to clean up all registry messes before you roll-back to old version.

One rule, if any free tool you find and it's working properly think twice before updating.

I know.. i know that's the universal rule for any software not only freware should i use CCleanet for the registry cleaning job or what do you recomend?

  8. I use MacCleanse, MacKeeper or Bleachbit normally, I do not install much garbages, just tweak around and sharpen my own babies to make them more shiny. I can not find much information about CCleanet. If you consider yourself a pro user you can project your skills and run system tools manually and more precisely. On tux I do not care as everything comes free and everything goes free as in Free Beer. No worries.
What all they can get is theirs. Still I can share some goodies with FuN.

As OP mentioned CCleanet I was thinking of wide scope coverage of cleaning up the Net.
Now you restrict the scope of CCleaner to the Windows.

...Huh? There's a Mac version, as I mentioned.
