I'm currently try to do my best do get the most out of this anime:
    https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/355311-Wise-choice-to-deinterlace-that-DVD-material

I#m checking the results of upscaling if it's worth it.
But now to the current question.

Is that normal to happen after inverse telecine?
I'm getting this shown in MeGUI since I'm not too confident I could handle all of AviSynth.

Any idea what it could be?

MeGUI is generating this line after analysis

    tfm(order=-1).tdecimate(hybrid=1)

  4. It looks like mishandled interlaced chroma channels. Was there some other filtering before tfm/tdecimate? Is that shot in one of the samples you uploaded?

Well, the script doesn't do much.
And, no, it wasn't in one of the samples before like this.

    DirectShowSource("F:\Kreativ Eck\DVD Rips\Gankutsuou\VTS_01_1_.MPG", fps=29.970, audio=false, convertfps=true).AssumeFPS(30000,1001)

that's the only thing more the script does besides resizing

  6. Sometimes you have to use some of the other parameters of TIVTC. Sometimes nothing fixes it. Please provide a sample that includes that frame. Not a sample of the end result, but a sample from the source.

You should do your own analysis. More often than not that Hybrid=1 part is incorrect.

I tried it for now with a different sample and it just seems like MeGUI is not always allying the changes....in the other sample it worked.
So for now I would say it's not a real problem of concern but was more than surprised when I first saw that o.o
