I use Handbrake to convert to MP4, and I love all the options available. I have a video file that has a constant audio synch error of about 150ms - it is the original file that has the error. I can't find an option in Handbrake that will correct this problem. Does such an option exist, and if so, where is it?
(A frame rate error would cause an increasing synch problem - this is a constant 150ms from beginning to end)

It's faster and easier to use avidemux.

That looks like the answer, thanks. I've been using Handbrake because it's been the best, so far, at handling MKV's. But that was before you pointed me to AviDemux.
I should mention that this is only part of what I'm looking to do with the file. In addition to correcting audio synch, I'm converting from MKV to MP4 and adding a soft (selectable) subtitle - and trying to do all of this in one shot. I don't see the option of adding a subtitle in AviDemux.Last edited by jh443; 21st Apr 2013 at 14:50.

Yeah, I rarely use subs too... but they're one of those things that you don't miss until you really need it (noisy room, for example). I'll give it a look, thanks again.
