    Hi
    This can probably be done using mkvmerge-GUI.
    Though the result will mkv files, not avi.

    Automatic splitting
    Enable splitting ...after this duration

    Look here ----> http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/doc/mkvmerge-gui.html#global_split

  6. There's a guide to splitting AVIs here: https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/249731-Tutorial-Using-VirtualDub-Mod-to-Split-or-Sa...of-an-avi-File

    If you use the slider to navigate through the video, do so while holding down the Shift key. VirtualDubMod can only split video using a certain type of frame as the split point (key frames). That's normal for any program unless you re-encode some of the video. Holding down the shift key while using the slider will make sure you always land on one of those key frames.

    AviMux-GUI allows you to set the split manually on AVI.
    You would have to plug in all 24 values though before saving the output.

  10. Not that it matters, VirtualDubMod, AVIMux-GUI..... they'll both work..... but for the record if you've got lots of AVI splitting to do VirtualDubMod can save each job to a queue rather than run it straight away, so you can open an AVI, set the start and end points, save it as a new AVI (making sure the option to add the job to the queue is selected before saving it) setup your next split points, save the AVI again.... and so on. You can also open a new AVI and set up splits, saving each to the job queue again.

    Once you're finished you can open the job queue and get VirtualDubMod to start running them and walk away. If there's a lot of splitting to do it saves having to sit in front of the PC waiting for VirtualDubMod to finish saving each time. The same applies to anything you ask VirtualDubMod to do whether it be simple file splitting or editing and re-encoding.
