    I am using RealPlayer 15.0.2.72 and Firefox 10.0.2 to download videos
    from e g YouTube and other sites. The result is a FLV file which can be
    played with RealPlayer.
    Sometimes - not very often and I dont know why - the result is a MP4 file.
    If I try to play this file with RealPlayer i says "A General Error has occured".

    Can this be avoided or can the MP4 file be converted to FLV?

    Thank you

    Hi
    mp4 files from YouTube and other sites can be converted to flv using "Pass Thru flv" preset with WinFF.
    Information is here ---> https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/343895-Pass-Thru-presets-for-WinFF

    Thank you!
    The VLC Media player plays the MP4 file without problems.
