I am part of a teachers group in China that meets to share ideas. We sometimes video our classes and then share the video via dvd. Quite often one of the teachers will do "one thing or the other" so that the audio is barely audible. Is there some way to enhance/amplify it? I use either the windows media player or vlc media player. I have made sure that all of the settings on my software and hardware are turned up as high as possible - and verified this by popping in a different dvd to make sure.
Any suggestions?

You could try boost the audio with ac3filter, see https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/299041-Question-about-AC3-Filter-with-MPC-to-increa...en-playing-avi
