RipBot can't process mpeg4 AVC Sources

Hello all,

using RipBot 1.15.1 I lately started having the problem that right after demuxing (some but not all BD), I receive a DirectShow Error telling my that the video file (video.mkv) cannot be opened due to some filter or certificate problem (German word is - Zertifikatsproblem).

I just narrowed down the differences between working and non working BDs to the video format:

VC-1 is working - MPEG4 AVC is not working.

Can anyone point me in the right direction what might be missing or what setting needs to be changed? Or does anyone have an idea how I can confirm the error by a quicker process than waiting for the demuxing to finish (up to 30 min!) before I know if whatever measure I took solved the problem?

I installed the following: Ripbot 1.15.1 (including upgraded latest x264.exe) all other tools according to RipBots suggestions on a Vista machine (Q6600, 3GB RAM).

Reinstall Haali media splitter , avisynth and use latest ffdshow (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow-tryout/files/)

There is VLC but beyond that - really nothing out of the ordinary...

How about the warning >4GB? That movie was really long (2:35) - could that create any problem?

wav: could have happened after pasting it but I am not sure - the original file is gone now.

Revert to version 1.15.0 and see if it works. Delete Ripbot directory first and do a clean install of 1.15.0

I found in an older version of RipBot that it doesn't like ANSI characters like å,ä,ö,ü in the movie title
and movie source folders.
I had the same error message.

ok - I followed Wulf's. advice - uninstalled everything and did a clean install of 1.15.0.7 with the suggested versions of Haali, avisynth and ffdshow - the result was a different errormessage at the same point after demuxing - maybe that helps:

There are no ansi characters (at least) in the pathnames I use... burried in the BD I don't know...

well I already did that - found some clues but none worked

You installed WMP11
Your running your CPU at default speed
Your running version 1.15.0

Guys, I solved the problem.

I checked the ffdshow video decoder config - and for AVC ffmpeg-mt was selected - I selected libavcodec and demuxing worked fine!

But every time I start ripbot it appears to be resetting this to ffmpeg-mt ...

Is that intentional or is it a bug?

I understand that ffmpeg-mt is faster - any idea how I can fix the problem with ffmpeg-mt?

ok I tried - same problem - it all points towards a problem with ffdshow (or less likely avisynth) - what next? Shall I contine in this thread or open another ffdshow-thread in "Video Conversion"?
