I bought this over 9 days ago and I should be getting this in the mail tomorrow
I just recently bought a HP d530 barebones pc and turned it into a mini recording media center.
Since I will be going back to work pretty soon I just wanted the hp to record any TV shows while I'm gone.
I would use my other pc, but I have internet radio and some other stuff working in the background of my pc and don't want the video recording to suffer especially when the sound card is occupied.

  2. Honestly it will look like crap, VCD quality at best because they use USB 1.1. Make sure you hold on to your receipt.

Chance that a legit version of Ulead (even a stripped down one) is in a product that costs ten dollars? Near zero.

Don't expect miracles for this price. You've been warned.

I wanted to place this line since a long time, you gave me the opportunity !

Sorry i'm off topic hehe, well this card certainly look cheap so only for that i give it a 1 star out of 5. But it's got a philips SAA7113 chip so maybe it's worth a try, cross the fingers & burn a candle just in case.

Well I just got mine in the mail tonight.
The ulead software is junk but the drivers work fine as long as they install properly on vista sp2.
Also I had windvr 3.0 installed on vista sp2 so, it recorded perfectly even though you can't hear the sound while it's recording, but when you play it back it sounds perfect.

Here is a 6 minute video I did of GT4 I hope thats ok.
My final problem now is if I place the easy cp on my front usb ports it will knock out all of the usb ports on the back of my pc and make it crash, has anyone else experienced this problem ?

Will VirtualDub capture work with it? That would certainly be a nice plus.

EDIT: Just saw your video. Looks great. Not a bad $10 investment.

EDIT2: Missed your USB issue. Possible power draw issue. Could be sucking the life out of the rest of the channel. Do you have separate PCI USB card you could try it on.

I have XP SP3. Have not seen any issues with VDub with any SP level of XP.

I wasn't talking about compatbily with virtual dub, as soon as I get everything updated on this HP d530 tonight thats where easy cap will stay from now on.
I heard some very angry customers on ebay said their easy cap failed to install on xp, just wondering which sp it was, xp is very supreme, but it doesn't like some new hardware it can't install when it's from another country. almost like vista screams bloody murder about everything during the past 2 years -_-.
