Hello all,
I'm kind of a newbie when it comes to all of the converting and authoring stuff, I only really use simple to use programs any how to my situation.
I downloaded some anime episodes which are .ogm files and contain dual audio. Eventually I'll need to burn it to a DVD but before I'll need to convert it to MPEG-2 format so I can use it in TDA. I tried to use TMPGEnc 3.0 XPress to convert it and when played there was only one audio stream. So I guess my question is really how would I go about converting and authoring those files so that I will be able to select the audio I want to hear when playing it,that is, I can select the audio when watching it on my dvd player and also how would I add subtitles to each episode so that it is not encoded onto the video itself but can be selected?
and BTW I also tried to use this guide http://www.ez-tutorials.com/EZtuts/Tutorial/6 but when I used the virtualdub mod and opened my ogm file, the program just kept on crashing and I have no idea why....thnx...

1) Please use a more descriptive title. You can use the EDIT button to fix that.
2) MPEG2 does NOT support multiple audio streams. DVD itself would, but that's done during the authoring process. You'll need to demux the various audio tracks and add them back in the authoring step.
3) Get an OGM demuxer. -
If virtualmod crash's open ogm file's , they may not be in the correct format vitualmod expect's .
You could also have other system issue's ... if ffmpeg or MatroskaSplitter , and there is another twitt I dont recall , uninstall them , reboot pc , and try again ... I know this from movie maker crash's .
There are other tool's for pulling them apart as well .
You may need to convert them over , as far as I know ogm is a container , and can contain avi format's vdub cannot open .
You should beable to convert them over to a suitable format using super (stable) , or mediacoder (unstable .. damnit) .. just when I had it working .
These you can deal with .
If output was mpeg2 , batchdemux can pull them apart , ready for your authoring project .
If no audio is produced during batchdemux , use vdub to open it , full processing under audio tab , check conversion is set to 48kz , stereo , 16 bit , then save audio .
Convert wav using besweet to other format if required .

As for seondary audio ... you are asking for it now , same amount of pain as the first ...
I'd never go this far unless I was getting paid alot more for all the effort involved .
