Why am I getting 101%+ in progress bar when encoding to PSP?

I've been encoding a lot of videos (.avi, .mov., mpeg. etc.) to PSP format lately using ffmpegX v0.0.9u. I've noticed that most of the vids I'm encoding go past 100% on the Progress bar. They usually are completed at around 120% to 130%.

Is this normal? PSP is the only format I've really been converting vids too, so I don't know if it happens when trying other formats. I've read the faq and other ffmpegX documentation but couldn't find any mention of this.

When the progress information goes over 100%, this simply means that the program failed to determine the correct movie duration. This has no effect whatsoever on the encoding.

Does this mean that I can hit "cancel" on the progress bar once it reaches 100%?

No, leave it until it finishes. There must be "housekeeping", etc. happening. I find the "100%+" notification quite often when using a number of different codecs. Just get a cup of coffee and relax.
