  1. As some of you may have heard, there's a nasty windows expl0it
    floating around that Microsoft has yet to patch. Currently, there is
    an unofficial patch out that SANS is endorcing, and you might want
    to look in to it (is uninstalliable if problems occur)

  2. In Outlook:
    1.Do not open attachments unless you know it's safe.
    2.In Tools->Options go to Security and enable "Block images and other...."
    3.In Read enable "Read all messages in plain text".
    4.In View->Layout disable the preview pane.

  3. Actually, just unregistering the dll doesn't cure the problem...again a search produced no results as to why I originally posted....but its good someone beat me to the punch with the current avail fix...

    Download this patch from GRC.com and apply it. It is suppose to work much better than just unregistering the DLL. Install and reboot and you are protected until MS patches it themselves. Then you can just remove this patch via Add/Remove programs.
