By the way, Wikipedia had the same problem since yesterday's night until this afternoon.

I have blocked several countries because of a ddos-attack that never ends. Over 5000 connections every second can't my old server handle. 90% of all that traffic comes from bots connecting and fails the site simple javascript human check. Around 10% consists of search engines and less than 1% is "real" traffic.

But I will try remove the Brazil country block and see how it works.

I understand why many sites are using Cloudflares free ddos protection. But I hate to give up my site to one huge data mining company that will map the entire internet soon. Google also mines lots of data but at least can every visitor block such request on my site using an adblocker.

You are not the only one who hates Cloudflare, so if you one day have to depend on it, I will understand and will not complain.
