  1. Hi,

I just got a GV-USB2 and I'm trying to install the drivers for it. I downloaded the drivers.zip file that was in a thread on the forum, but when I try to run the dpinst.exe program, it gives me an error that says it does not execute on my current operating system.

From what I can tell so far, it's not actually about my OS, it's the language/localization. The program is probably looking for a Japanese version of Windows, which of course I'm not using. I couldn't find anyone with the same issue on the forum which is confusing. Has anyone else run into this issue?

Manually running dpinst.exe isn't part of the normal install process; have a read of my notes about installing the driver here.

I was trying to manually run dpinst.exe because when I run the 1.15 driver installer from the IODATA website I get this error message. Image

    That's no good.

I just wiped my Win 10 driver and did another install of the driver ONLY; make sure you click on the correct buttons, exactly as I have laid out in my guide for the 1.15 driver.

If you're having trouble with the IOData website being in Japanese, Chrome has a button at the right-hand end of the address bar for translating.

Also, Google Translate on my Samsung phone works well pointing it at the screen text.
