VegasPro pitch audio

Hi all,
When I need to convert a video from 25fps to 23fps, after importing the audio into the timeline, I check the audio properties and make sure the method is set to none so that the pitch isn't preserved but rather changes to 23fps.
Then I use the stretch tool to stretch the video and audio it only happens a few times that when I go to check the audio properties the previous screen doesn't appear but this one where the pitch has been preserved. Why does this happen?
