Has anyone played Grand Theft Auto 3 ?

That game would have to be my favorite videogame of all time. I played it at a friends house and I just ordered it online (tey have taken it off all the shelves where I live). And I dont even have a playstation 2 yet.

I think the coolest thing in the game is when you are running from the cops and stop the car and then reverse when they get out and crush them. and the firetruck is pretty cool to.
Has anyone got six stars on it yet?

GTA3 is one of the best games that I have ever played, in fact I am playing it now!

I forgot to mention earlier that 5 stars means you have the FBI after your sorry ass and 6 stars means you have the military after you. Tanks and all. I think to have 6 stars you must have unlocked all the parts of the city.
BTW, have you got the cheat codes?

is it avalable for PSX????? becuase i saw on the comercial that it had the PSX logo and the Playstation 2 logo is it avaliable i have played it and it is sick its not like 1&2 better weapons well i hope it is becuase i wont be getting a PS2 anytime soon

GTA1 & GTA2 are avialiable for the PSX, but GTA3 is only for the PSX2. GTA1/2 are ok games. But they only have a top down view, the graphics are fairly poor, and the missions/story is kind of repetitive.

I would pass on them. Esp if you are expected GTA3 like game play and/or story (graphics aside).

I have got 4 stars over ata friends house and he is stil in the first city. we just tried the cheat codes. the best combo is free tank rioat an everyone has weapons. its freakin war.

Yeah, thats what I loved about it. On my first go I just went up to someone and pressed punch, then I was like "holy Shit! a fight! Lets bring it on!", I then beat the crap out of the guy and killed him, this money spilled out. Since then it has just gone insane! M16's, Uzis, sniper rifles, AK 47's... oh and the rocket launcher of course... I am like 40% through the game now, some missions are a bitch, others are just funny, but at least it has a story line, not just like GTA1 or GTA2. Later on in the game you can get a yardie lobo car, it has like full hydraulic suspension that you can control with the analogue sticks, like real gangsta lo-riders. Oh yeah, and the music is kick ass too, I love about every track on it. I havent stopped playing it yet, I only have like a 1 hour session on Tony Hawk 3, as morality check. LOL. TH3 is a good game too, but GTA3... well...

BTW, do you have the cheat for Ultra Violence, like where you shoot someone and their arm/head/leg comes off (LOL)? I have it but it doesnt work, i got it from a lame cheat site marked as untested, but all the others work ok.

They were ment to ban it here in Australia, but they didn't end up doing it.
I haven't played it as yet but I'm going to get that and Smackdown:JBI when I get my PS2 (very soon!).
Is it harder playing in a 3-D view rather than a bird's eye view like the previous Gta's? And what weapons are there in the game?

Dhruv it's MUCH easier playing from the back view then from the top down view. You can see so much more, and it's so much more 'engaging.' The graphics in the game are excellent.

From what I hear, the PC version should be out in March or so and the Xbox version is coming too but there's no date yet. I'm hoping for at least one of those 2 versions to have some type of online play to it.

GTA 3 is avaliable for Playstation2, XBOX, PC and I believe there is one more but I could be wrong...

I have a friend with the ps2 and another with the xbox and the xbox seems to be a little better even in its short life. only time will tell tho.

Gamespot announced yesterday that it'll be coming for the PC around April.
Also, what are the radio stations like in GTA3 (I heard that that's where most of the game's data is)?
