hi,
i just bought 400 ridata 48x 700mn cdrs.
I burnt some audio cds and some svcds and they seem to play fine on their respective standalones.
However....
For some reason some of these disks will not be read on the computer - by the very same cdrw drive that burnt the disk in the first place.
I'm not sure, but i think this occurs only on svcds that use the disk to its maximum potential. - ie 800mb svcd. But the cdrw drive did successfully read such svcds on my previous cdr media.
Is there any explanation for this?
I do not want to burn hundreds of cds only to find out that audio cds/ svcds are less stable on this media.
Or is it the case that if they work fine in their standalones, i needn't worry about the reasons my computer's cdrw drive is rejecting them?
I do hope someone can put my mind at rest on this one.
Many thanks,
Kian
edit:
I don't know if this is a further clue, but when playing the 800mb svcd on my dvdplayer, the dvdplayer's drive seems to whir louder towards the end of the disc than it usually does.
I checked, and this does not happen with svcds of the same size on my previous hp cdrs.
