  1. I am in the process of acquiring a used VDM 200 to improve incoming VHS, S-VHS and 3/4" U-Matic video signals to my computer. Is anyone using one of these as an adjunct capture device to improve/alter color, sharpness etc? If so, how well does the ol' Vidicraft work?

For the moment I am using a DV camcoder for transcoding to create AVI files but am looking to buy a Hauppauge 250 or 350 card to go into the computer with MPEG2 files which take about 1/5th the hard drive space.

  2. It's a nice little unit. Very clean and accurate image, powerful sharpening capability. You will like it, for sure. Vidicraft processors are very good... among the best consumer units ever made.
