Does any1 have D-VHS deck?
I had one before last xmas for about 2 weeks (just took it from work to 'familiarize' myself with it hehe) and I must admit I'd love to own one when their price drops to some reasonable 1/2G or lowr price...
And I still have standalone Hi-8 VCR I bought ages ago in HK (its dead, but anyway it was never working as it supposed to from begining... "Panosonic" lol <- yes, I did NOT misspell its brand)

Guess I'll add my list too
JVC HRVP628U (does anyone else have this machine? it seems rare) Good machine but likes to scratch tapes from time to time
Toshiba W603 - Ebay deal gone bad...was supposed to have been an M778 with DNR and 6 heads...oh well. Using this as my capture VCR right now. Newest of all of them here at the moment. Says 'pro-drum' on it. No remote <grr>
Goldstar RC90M - Another rare model? Has flying erase, an allmost pro level jog/shuttle, and editing controls. Nice machine but the audio cuts out all the time..had it fixed once worked for a month and started doing it again. Good for recording or watching movies but not captures.
Electrohome HO3 - (Mitsubishi) This thing is built like a tank. Playback is still good on it depsite the front controls being held on with scotch tape because the buttons wore out! Recording has finally packed it in on this one...probably a belt that needs to be replaced.
Funai Hi Fi Stereo Made in Japan - forget the model...its packed away rightnow...good for recording...horrible sound...doesn't even have auto tracking on it, so you get the clicks all the time if you play somethign recorded on another machine
Toshiba V880MH - Multisystem. Not currently working...Display flickers when you plug it in. I wish I knew what was wrong with it...It worked once when I got it...played the tape...Unplugged it moved it to another spot and plugged it in again the next day and it won't go....weird. Power supply probelm maybe?
Might be getting a Sony HF920 from someone...are these better for capturing than the above? Says it has APC, and some kind of stabilizer/booster circuitry in it. Would the improvement be worth the cost of getting it shipped across the country? -
I have a top loading mono Panasonic VCR that plays old tapes better than my Philips DVD combo. The unit is over 20 and looks great.
