I have a DVD video of an old TV show that has 3 episodes on the DVD. What would be the best way to separate the 3 episodes?
As VOB's, or as AVI?
If I separate before I convert to an AVI, I will have three files to convert, but if there is a good reason to do so I am willing to do it that way.
If there is a good reason to leave them in one file and separate after converting, I can do it that way as well.
Thanks for any input.

you can convert and cut directly, with for example fairuse 0.9.3. select the first episode(set the start and end under frame range) and encode and then the other and so on.
