Is there any reasonably priced USB capture device that will let me cap uncompressed AVI at 352x480 (I've recently learned that capping at 240 loses an entire set of fields!)
I've used both the Dazzle and Creative Labs MPG1 boxes, but the quality is still noticable sub-par VHS. From everything I've read, I really want to cap at 352x480 and AVI, so as to avoid the artifacts of compressing an MPG file.
Thanks!

Just out of curiousity why USB? Isnt USB slower than PCI..?
As far as I know USB is always hardware compression isnt it..? So uncompressed AVI wouldnt be happening.
Not 100% sure, anyone verify this? -
USB (1.0) has nowhere near the bandwidth required to handle uncompressed AVI capture at those resolutions. Even with Huffyuv, the data rate of a 480x480 capture is about 4x the bandwidth of USB.
USB 2.0 or Firewire would be viable, but I can't attest to the existence or quality of any such devices.
