  1. I have a movie that is an avi file it is split in to two parts. Both parts are 640 megs. when i try to convert part 1 the first 640 megs of the mpg is fine but it keeps encoding until the file size is in the gig+ range and the minutes would be the equivalent of the length of the actual movie if i merged the avi together. WHY? why is it basing the final size of the conversion on the actual length of the movie and not just the part1 avi file? one other note when it reaches the last frame of part 1, that is what stay on the screen for the next hour and 4 minutes.

  2. you using TMPG? If not use, and if you are, get the newest version, or 1.2b .. should solve everything..

    Otherwise your AVI files are most likely corrupt in some way.
