  1. After extensive reading on it, I found that nothing I ever read ever addressed quality differences. So I pose that question- IS there any quality difference in the media that's burnt onto either disc?

    thanks,

  2. No.

-R can be just as good as +R, and vice versa. The format has nothing to do with the quality of the media.

Both media write "1"s and "0"s. A good burn on both should be equal. The quality of the video is determined by what was done to it before it was burned. Unless crap media gives a bad burn ...but assuming good media - equal quality.

Despite all of the hoo-hah that you'll read, at the end of the day, there is bugger-all difference between the two IMO.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Apparently +R has features that make it better for data storage and PC use than -R. While I have been able to find statements to this effect, I haven't been able to find a statement that describes what these features actually are.
    Read my blog here.

  6. When you get into set top reliability then the -R's have a better track record on older set tops.
