you have 2 avi files, xvid's.

they both play fine on media players, video perfect - sound perfect.
you try to make a DVD using this method (which has always worked in the past)

1)strip video with vdub - join video with vdub (append).
2)strip audio with goldwave - join audio with goldwave.
3)convert video with tmpgenc plus to m2v file
    4)convert audio to ac3 with ffmpeggui03
5)author in tmpgenc dvd author - burn in tmpgenc dvd author

then all of a sudden, you'r audios out of sync by about 1 second, sometimes half a second? this is whats happening to me, and i dont understand why? because my source files are perfect!
also i am using the correct codecs for my files, the xvid codec on this site which is what i always used, how can i fix my (dubbed japanese martial arts video wannabe) dodgy audio?

    *sigh*

  2. Dont join the files together, just process em as two seperate videos, then when authoring in TMPGend DVD author, just add the second one as an extra chapter.

I do exactly the same, ALL that work to stop a transition that just looks like a layer change.

Append the 2nd video with VirtualDub or VirtualDubMod selecting Direct Stream Copy.

Then extract the audio from the joined .avi, not from the individual files!

  5. One question , did VD reported something like this " Virtualdub has detected an improper etc....." when you loaded the avi .

If so, save wave as full processing. Since you are making a dvd, don't joined. Do that during dvd creation
