Sorry - there where 3 locked topics listed on the front page of www.dvd-guides.com latest active topics. First waqs the one quoted above, the 2 following where flames from the original author. Now they are gone, and the topic ID's left in my browser cache just lead me to pages stating that the topic doesn't exist. But honestly - only "offending matter" in the post in question was the word "downloaded". Hilarious!

and how can "now i try to convert my movie to dvd format. i am using a downloaded movie with is two different mpg's" be even interpreted as wares, and what method did the mod in this case use to establish that it was? Prolly dvd-ifo has defined "dowloaded movie=warez" in its AUP, but that doesn't make it any less hilarious.

You're right - you can't say "this is warez, for sure". However, if someone is talking about a 700MB AVI downloaded movie then it might be warez. Not fore sure - there are plenty of legitimate downloads just like that - which is why I quote the AUP in a friendly reminder.

Locking down the thread like that and hiding it from pubic view isn't right though - how will questions be answered like that?

I appreciate that. But I'm not worked up! It was merely that many (at times even including me, I admit that) do get worked up over people being jumped at as soon as they mention the dirty word. My point with this post was to point out that we here at VideoHelp are in fact pretty relaxed about it, compared to "the competition".
