how do i cut mpeg into 2 files for burning

anyone know what program i should use to cut an mpeg file into 2 files so i can burn to disk

dont say tmpenc, cos i get an error message using windows xp

I've always used the TMPGenc mpeg tools with no difficulty. I DO know that many on this board have had HUGE problems with it though.....

why dont you just encode half the avi at a time so you dont have to cut it when its done
