TMPGEnc DVD Author - editing movie clips

I backed up a movie using DVD Shrink, copied it to my hard drive. There was a scene I wanted to cut before I burned it to a dvd-r. So I pull up my TMPGEnc DVD Author, Create new project, then click the "Add DVD video" which will pull up vob dvd files as the movie. When I browse to the folder with my movie.. nothing is there to select. I could not get TDA to recognize the movie files. No error mesg nothing.. its just blank.

Why wouldnt TDA pull a backed up movie? Thoughts? If not TDA, what could I use?

Just to clear it up for me, you select add DVD, then browse to the folder, did you hit OK? I know that browsing to the folder and clicking VIDEO_TS will not bring up a list of files. After hitting OK, Author will pull up a list of the tracks in the folder for you to add.
If you did that and it didn't work, I'm really not sure why. It's worked for me every time.

You have it right. When I ck through explore the files are all there. But TDA for some reason doesnt acknowledge that the files are there.

I can burn those same files with nero and it will play fine on a dvd player. But I need to cut a scene and for some reason TDA doesnt see them to pull into the project. If I click on the "Add File" like im going to pick a mpeg, and view all files.. I can see the vob files. But naturally that wont let me pick it and bring it into the project.

Strange.
