What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend? -
I wouldnt mind walking around with Night Vision goggles on n getting $500 for spotting kids with camcorders.

It still hasn't stop someone else from camming it, i've seen a copy being available for download of the net.
I Have Always Been Here
Toshiba Regza 37Z3030D, Toshiba HD XE1 + EP-10 ( Both Multiregioned), Samsung BD-P1500 Blu Ray. OPPO DV-983H -
It just goes to show.. if your gonna camcorder a movie.. you might want to not do it at a special MIDNIGHT SNEAK PREVIEW and instead wait a day or so. What was this kid thinking? I can't wait till they catch someone camcordering the movie at the actual Hollywood Premier... I can see it now.."Dustin Hoffman catches camcorder boy"

The real question is why is bothering to cam it now?
A cam version has been available since last friday....doh!

The part I find disturbing is the projectionist was scanning the audience with Night Vision Glasses. Could put your girl friend/Wife in an embarrassing position.

Was this guy serious or getting cheap thrills and saw the 16 yr. old with the camcorder by accident?

Night vision goggles aren't needed.
A consumer camcorder uses an infared light to do it's auto focus. The invisable light can be seen with any other camcorder. Try it. Film a friend filming you. Through the viewfinder or LCD display, you will see a tiny pinpoint light comming from the front of his camcorder.
Using a camcorder to scan the audience will quickly reveal anyone filming the screen.
The kid could have used a small piece of electrical tape to cover the autofocus light on his camera and would never have been caught.I don't have a bad attitude...

You have to be careful with this idea, many things are at least partly transparent to IR that don't look it, some electrical tapes are, used it in some electronic project as a transparent shield in the past..Originally Posted by leebo

Well, I have no desire to film a movie screen myself. When the movie comes out on DVD...
