  1. I am wondering where is the best place ( best buy, CompUsa, CircuitCity, Office Max, etc) to buy DVD media not online? and what brands? I undertand the media ID is important and will only consider IDs like TY or MCC first grade media. Price is not so important I just want good quality disks for 25PK for Home Movies.

    Thanks

  2. Based on what I read from posts from LordSmurf and others the following manufacturers should be ok across the various OEM Mfg's they use:

    Apple
    Maxell
    Fuji

I bought some memorex's but have noticed some occassional freezing and jumps 6-8 months later (Prodisc S03's -- according to Lordsmurf they are level 2 qlty)

Look for the Maxell's that say 'Made in Japan' at Walmart/Walgreen.
Although, from the info given to me in a recent thread, they'll be in 5,10, or 15 packs.

I'm also looking for a place where i can send my grandfather to buy for media and he won't get ripped off or get shitty media (he has no idea about brands, prices etc.) which place has good prices - for good quality media in general? (he simply doesn't have time to be running around looking for sales and coupuns...)

    thnx,
    Tzvika

    p.s.
I've had really bad experience with Memorex dvd-r ProdiscS03...
With all due respect... and there is respect...

  6. just go on line and search for "weekly ad".
right now office depot sells Verbatim, 25 spindle pack, "buy 1 get 1 free" for $28.
that is one of the best media.

  7. I just bought 2 packs of Verbatim 4X DVD+R( 15 discs) for $25. So 30 discs for $25. The media code is MCC 002 which according to www.nomorecoasters.com is 1st class media.. good deal. Each disk is like $0.84 which a very good deal. BTW they are also available as DVD-R
