I can't find any system requirements for this beyond the originals from 1999, which mentions Win 95 and Win98. Nothing on the Adobe support site seems to have the information, everything is pretty much tailored to the latest version.
Having invested in an old edition of this benchmark prog to try it out (I've used Studio 7 for more than a year), I'm frustrated to find it crashes as soon as I try to edit an imported movie file. It's patched to the latest 5.1c, but that makes no difference. It crashes to the desktop as soon as I pull something on to the timeline.
Does any Premiere user know if 5.1 can run with Win 2000? Or have any other advice for getting it to run properly?
(For some reason, the site won't let me change my profile and it's kept at the original spec. My current system is:
P4 2.8, 768MB DDR400, Radeon 9600 256MB DDR, Direct X 9.1, 160GB + 120GB, S.Blaster Live!, Supra 56k, Win 2000 + SP4, Ultra 645 + Sis 645 chipset)
Very many thanks.
