    Im using an ATI Wonder VE video capture card. I can get the video but I dont get sound when using the software suppied by ATI (no sound option). I imput the video into the video card and I imput the audio line into my sound card in and record with the ATI software.

    I am trying to backup my VHS tapes to VCD. Is there another software program I should use that will take the video and sound at the same time.

    Did you check in your Windows Volume Control? Make sure Line-Input is not muted or set too low. Make sure when you install the ATI software, choose line-input as the source of your audio. This may sound stupid, but sometimes I connected audio cable to the Mic on the back of the sound card, or I simply didn't properly connected the cables.
