I'm looking to purchase a program to burn VCD's that I can play on my DVD player. Theres alot of programs to choose from, so i'm a bit confused. I would like one that i can make an interactive screen and one that in the future i can take my home videos and add my own music to. Something thats easy to learn for the fact im a newbie to this. Any info will be greatfull. Thanks

If you are keen to purchase a commercial program and have something easy to use, certainly the Ulead proggy and perhaps VideoPack 5 are good choices.
However, it should be noted though, that one of the best and probably the most powerful S/VCD authoring systems available is completely freeware...
VCDImager is open source and constantly under development. This is already the most powerful and flexible S/VCD authoring system in existence. There are now several good GUIs for VCDImager (e.g., TSCV or VCD Easy) to make it easier for beginners.
VCDImager creates the S/VCD as CUE/BIN disc images. This can be burnt with CDRDAO which is also open source. There is an excellent GUI for CDRDAO called XDuplicator which is freeware (or, you could burn directly from TSCV or VCD Easy).
For more info on VCDImager: http://www.vcdimager.org
For more info on authoring with VCDImager: http://www.geocities.com/medinotes/vcd
For more info on the GUIs, search for "TSCV" and "VCD Easy". You will find places to download as well as guides.
