    hi there

im based in the uk but have a few american videos in my collection id like to put on dvd, they play fine in my ntsc video recorder when its plugged in to the television, but when i plug the video into the pc the picture goes funny, i gathered this must have something to dowith the fact that the tape is ntsc as none of my other videos are like this, how do i get the pc screen to display the video properly so i can copy the clips to pc, do i have to change the settings on the capture card or is it impossible to do, if so how do i convert my ntsc videos to pal or can i copy from 1 ntsc video recorder to a pal recorder without any problems

btw my capture card is a winfast AGP 8x my vivo

hope someone out there can help me as im a bit of a novice at this stuff!

    cheers

You should be able to uninstall and reinstall your capture card, specifying a different country that uses NTSC. Capture, then change it back.

The PC is progressive and will show any resolution so there's no need to do anything there.

Several editing apps will open either format and allow you to save the MPEG as PAL or NTSC. Look through the tools section.
